Fc-fusion Proteins

InvivoGen offers a selection of Fc-fusion proteins for immunological and biochemical applications.

Fc-fusion proteins are recombinant proteins composed of an immunoglobulin (IgG) Fc domain joined to a peptide or protein of interest. The two subunits are attached via a linker, which can be of variable length. The Fc-tag is placed in C-terminal for Type I transmembrane proteins, and in N-terminal for Type II transmembrane proteins.

Structural features of Fc-fusion proteins

InvivoGen provides Fc-fusion proteins that bind to:

– Immune checkpoint receptors or ligands
– PRR ligands
– SARS-CoV-2 Spike proteins

Key features

  • Conserved biological activity of the protein of interest moiety.
  • Tagged with a human IgG1 Fc domain conserving the hinge region.
  • Designed with linkers comprising either 2 amino acids from the cloning site, a longer sequence of Glycine and Serine, or a TEV (Tobacco Etch Virus) sequence allowing proteolytic cleavage and removal of the Fc-tag.
  • Produced in CHO cells and purified by protein G affinity chromatography.
  • Functionally validated and guaranteed free of bacterial contamination.

Applications

InvivoGen's Fc-fusion proteins are useful for, but not restricted to the following applications:

  • Screening of binding partners or high-affinity specific monoclonal antibodies (mAbs) using protein binding assays
  • Screening of small-molecule inhibitors using neutralization assays
  • Screening of specific mAbs using competition assays
